Lead Fitness Center Associate

The YMCA is looking for an enthusiastic, fitness-focused, Lead Fitness Center Associate to help engage our members in healthy living and help strengthen the foundations of our community. This is a 30-35 hour per week, part-time position with a work schedule that includes weekdays and weekends.
Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age or older
Experience and knowledge in fitness principles and applications as related to exercise physiology, biomechanics and exercise prescription
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communications skills
Good judgement, ability to problem solve, ability to relate well with staff and general public
Minimum of 3 years experience in the Health & Wellness field
Previous YMCA experience preferred
Responsibilities:
Assist members with the proper use of Wellness Center equipment, answer questions, maintain continuous surveillance
Conduct Wellness Center Orientations based on branch guidelines and provide assistance in a safe, enthusiastic, thorough, courteous and professional manner
Work with Director of Healthy Living on member education, promoting activities & incentives and stay informed on YMCA initiatives
Promote a healthy lifestyle
Participate in special events and open houses throughout the year

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
