Teen Tween Program Instructor

The Kennett Area YMCA is looking for enthusiastic leaders for our Teen & Tween programs. The Teen and Tween Program Instructors will implement programs and events related to the 7th Grade Initiative and Saturday Night Lights program.
Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be available to work weekday evenings and Saturday evening.
Experience working with school age youth and/or teens preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Good judgement and ability to problem solve
Ability to relate well with staff, parents, youth and the general public
Responsibilities:
Position requires working Saturday Night Lights on Saturdays, 7-10pm beginning September, 2015
Conduct youth programs and events specifically targeting participants between the ages of 8 and 18/Grades 4-12.
Assist in the coordination of special events related to youth programs including parties, meetings and trips
Assist supervisor in development of new programs to capture the attention of youth in the YMCA
Work closely with parents and children to determine interests of this age group and activities that best fit this age group

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
