Water Slide Monitor

Come join our fantastic outdoor pool seasonal staff! We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic and motivated individuals to monitor the usage of our
water
slide at our Outdoor Swimming Pool
.
Requirements:
Must be 15 years of age or older
Strong ability to pay close attention to the actions of the people using the
water
slide
Good communication skills, and ability to effectively relay rules to members and others using the
water
slide
.
Good interpersonal skills, and the ability to stand firm in enforcing rules, policies and procedures while at the same time communicating with members and others in a polite and professional manner, with caring, honesty, respect and responsibility (YMCA core values)
Good judgment, and the ability to know when to call for help from a Lifeguard or other trained professional within the Association
Must be able to complete CPR/First Aid, Oxygen Administration, AED, and Blood borne Pathogens.
Responsibilities:
Manage the flow of children using the pool
slide
to assure there is only one (1) child in the
water
at a time
Ensure proper use of
water
slide
by members and others utilizing the aquatic facilities
Carry out and enforce aquatic policies and procedures in compliance with state statutes and other relevant entities to the YMCA

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
