Guest Service Representative

Responsibilities:
Represents the hotel to the guest throughout all stages of the guest's stay. Determines a guest reservation status and identifies how long the guest will stay. Helps guest complete registration cards and then assigns rooms accommodating special request whenever possible. Verifies the guest's method of payment and follows established credit card checking procedures. Works closely with the housekeeping department in keeping room status reports up to date and coordinates request for maintenance and repair work. Maintains guest room key storage, and maintains and supervises access to safe deposit boxes. Must be sales minded. Presents options and alternatives to guest and offers assistance in making choices. Knows the location and types of available rooms as well as the activities and services of the property.
JOB
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year previous front desk experience, preferably in a large volume property
Hotel computer experience
Ability to type 30-35 wpm
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be available to work weekends, holidays, 7am-3pm shifts, 3pm-11pm shifts.
Full time representatives can work-up to 30
hours weekly.
Must be able to push, pull move, and/or lift a minimum of 50lbs. to a minimum of 3 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 5 feet.
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace (English)Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
