We are currently looking for a Medical Billing and Collection Specialist to Join our Team!Must be able to work from our Corporate office in Kennett Square, PA 4 days/week as well as the facility in Dover, DE one day/week! Medical billing and collection for this position includes Medicare, medicaid, Insurance, Private, and other payers.
Assist residents with Resident Fund Management Services (RFMS) for residents holding accounts with the facilitySet up appointments with resident family members as requiredEnter census changes and admissions from the previous dayCollection Calls, monitor and collect accounts receivable and report delinquent accounts to the AdministratorEnter changes to patient pay as they come from MedicaidFile for Representative Payee's as needed and set up in RFMS for direct depositBill any newly approved Medicaid Residents through EDSEligibility and benefits verificationEnter cash deposits and remittance advices, post payments received to appropriate resident's accounts (Private Pay, Medicare, Medicaid, Hospice, other insurance, etc.
) Record payments received to appropriate cash receipts journalAttend U/R and A/R meetingsFile Income protections to Medicaid3rd party payment postingAssist in reconciling trial balances and bank statementsReview and handle concerns, correct errors on resident accountsPetty cashFollow established resident fund accounting procedures, provide each resident with a quarterly accounting of funds managed by facilitySupport Onix Accounting Department as neededQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required2 years bookkeeping / accounting experience preferredHealthcare experience preferredMedical Billing Experience preferredAbout the Company:
