Responsibilities include:
Picks up/delivers intramural envelopes and mail on the NBC campus (2 trips/day usually).
Makes sure that all outgoing mail is stamped and ready to go to the Kennett Square Post Office.
Sorts all incoming mail picked up from the Kennett Square Post Office each morning.
Accepts deliveries from all common mail carriers (usually twice daily).
Assists with helping personnel fill out proper paperwork for the common carriers.
Fills in for other driver for vacation, sickness, etc.
- entails driving to the Post Office to pick up/deliver mail, driving to Philadelphia to pick up/deliver mail in addition to other responsibilities on campus.
Miscellaneous pick-ups/deliveries of supplies/equipment in the area on an as-needed basis.
Ensures that machines are in good working order and we have an ample supply of postage available.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned This is a highly responsible position in the School of Veterinary Medicine and requires a reliable person with a professional demeanor who can interact well with all levels of personnel.
Qualifications High School diploma and 1-2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Valid driver's license is also required.
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds with no problem; strong interpersonal skills; dependability and demonstrated responsibility in handling mail (including money); flexibility in hours, as coverage may include trips to the Philadelphia campus and/or other areas as needed.
Knowledge of postal rates and regulations a plus, but not necessarily mandatory.
POSITION IS LOCATED IN KENNETT SQUARE, PA (Chester County).
There is no public transportation to this location.
